The HELICOIL® Smart is then located at the beginning of the thread and screwed in. The thread insert is screwed in by turning the mandrel or triggering the drive. The extension of the blade follows, which bends the pin back and compresses it. Engaging of the blade and unscrew the mandrel. The HELICOIL® Smart must be installed at least 0.25 P below the surface of the component in order to guarantee a correct installation.
