In semiconductor etching equipment, quartz rings are used to secure wafers, ensuring they are stably adsorbed onto the Electrostatic Chuck (E-Chuck) during dry/wet etching processes. Because of the high degree of contact between the quartz ring and the wafer, there are extremely strict requirements for the surface roughness of the inner ring. Poor surface roughness of the inner ring can lead to excessive corrosion of the wafer by chemical gases/liquids during the etching process, severely impacting product yield.
